NO PEACE FOR THE WICKED:

NEW PLAY HIGHLIGHTS WARTIME DISCRIMINATION AGAINST HOMOSEXUALS ON BOTH SIDES

October 9th, London: The Irish Network of Dramatic Arts is proud to announce the premiere of Gary Kittle’s new stage drama. WALKING THROUGH WIRE, directed by Tom Begley, plays at the Hen and Chickens Theatre in Islington from November 11th (Press Night: Nov. 10th).

About WALKING THROUGH WIRE: Over three acts the play highlights injustices experienced by gay men historically, whilst raising important questions about homophobia in contemporary times. Set partly in a Nazi concentration camp and partly in post-war Blackpool, WALKING THROUGH WIRE promises a challenging night of tension and tragedy.

About The Irish Network of Dramatic Arts (INDA UK): Director Tom Begley has enjoyed an extensive career in film and theatre and brings all his experience to bear in this provocative piece of theatre. The cast consists of Ian Recordon (The Commandant), with over 120 major acting roles to date; Michael Peluso (Ernst) and Simon D’Aquino (Hans), both talented young actors of stage and screen; Colin Reed (Alan Turing), another accomplished stage and screen actor; and Susan Cummins (The Gypsy Queen), who aside from an impressive list of acting accomplishments is also INDA UK’s co-founder.

INDA UK launched in 2006 with a production of ‘Big Maggie’, and since then has produced a number of other stage works throughout London.
